Since August the ominous sentence "This is the last beautiful day of the summer" has been in constant use. Strangely enough we have had loads of these last beautiful days.
This is not all bad. In reality it is an invite to enjoy that one and only late summer day and autumn seems years away. The air is full of mild warmth shone by a sun that rises lower day after day. The first hints of cold nights have arrived too. Nobody really knows when mud and snow actually get here. Carpe Diem.
